It is interesting to reflect on the difference in spiritual atmosphere between Christmas, the feast of the birth of Christ, and the Theophany, the feast of the baptism of Christ. Christmas presents us with peace and stillness; the Theophany with Light. Christmas presents us with the material human existence of Christ; the Theophany presents us with the manifestation of his divinity.
